ANTHONY MUTHEKI

We are proud to exclusively promote this internationally sought after artist. Anthony Mutheki is an exceptionally talented young artist who paints from the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal.


Although Tony has no formal art training, he has developed a large, extremely loyal following in his short and yet extremely full art career.

Tony has travelled extensively: United States, France, Dubai and throughout Africa (19 countries in total), experiencing different cultures first hand.

BARBARA PLONER

Barbara was born in 1946 in Dundee, Kwazulu Natal.

Her deep love for her South African heritage is clearly evident in her colourful interpretations of African people and her moody landscapes and seascapes.

Barbara?s paintings are often reproduced in upmarket calendars due to their exceptional international popularity.

She has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions and her works lie in numerous collections throughout the world.

Her ethnic studies have been described as modern with a touch of Africa and are proving themselves extremely popular with South Africans and overseas collectors alike.

DAVID MITHAYO

David works and paints from the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal. He has no formal art training, however he has benefited from working under the guidance of Anthony Mutheki.

David concentrates on capturing Kwazulu Natal themes on canvas, from her people to her wonderful land and seascapes.

David has exhibited his work extensively in South Africa, in the United States and the United Kingdom. David prefers working in acrylics on canvas. Subjects include seascapes, landscapes, and powerful portraits.

Elga is an extremely talented artist. Clients having purchased one of her works almost always fall so in love with their piece that they purchase more. She has a unique talent that allows her to capture Africa on canvas in such a loving, honest and positive manner that people are captivated by her pieces.

Elga?s paintings all have a calm, softness about them that immediately separates and places her work on a level of its own.

She has developed a reputation for wildlife and her portraits of African people. These pieces are sought after both locally and internationally and are in constant demand. Her skill and commitment has made her one of two artists in our stable that have been given profit share in the Touch of Mandela Art Gallery at Ushaka Island in Kwazulu Natal.

GERTIE IHLENFELDT

Gertie?s love for South Africa and her people is clearly evident in her bright, happy canvases.

Gertie is known for her na?ve interpretations of local people, harvesting scenes and other typical South African scenes. She applies her paint thickly and uses masses of rich, bright colours.

Her work is often described as ?Happy? and has the power to brighten up and bring warmth to any home.

Gertie has been painting in this style for many years and has developed a long list of enthusiastic supporters.

She has exhibited locally and internationally. All her U.S. and U.K. showings have been very positively received.

NELSON MANDELA

Mr Nelson Mandela's limited edition lithographs have shown substantial increases in value since their launch. The first "My Robben Island Series" has sold out internationally and the "My Robben Island Series 2" has shown strong demand since its launch.

Collectors include Prince Charles, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and The Sultan of Oman among numerous others. Proceeds from the sale of these pieces benefits various charities.
